3D product configurators

The buyer specifies the product on screen — parts snap together, the price follows the layout, and the finished scene leaves as AR, a render, or a brief the factory can read. Runs in a tab, nothing to install.

WebGL & GLSL

Shaders written for the brief instead of pulled off a shelf: cursor physics, parametric geometry, generative material, scroll-bound camera. Built to hold the frame budget on a laptop GPU, not just on my machine.

Complex domain logic in the browser

Selection engines, parametric catalogues, live quoting, legacy databases brought onto the web. This is the part that makes a configurator a tool people order from rather than a showreel.

The customer measures out the room, drops in racking, shelves and display cases, and the quote follows every change. The finished layout opens in AR on a phone, renders to an image, or goes to the factory as a brief — without a call to a sales rep.

Parametric duct fittings

You give it dimensions, material and connection type, and the part redraws with its dimension lines as you type. Bends, reducers, tees, saddles and cowls, each ending in a costed specification and a quote instead of a thread of emails.

Selection by operating point

The engineer enters airflow and total pressure. The system picks the unit, draws the curve through the operating point and builds the order around it — across a catalogue of 400-plus units and roughly 20,000 polynomial curves, with acoustics, drive selection and cost of ownership alongside.

Dios+

A fleet globe: ships and aircraft moving along great-circle routes to 28 cities, on NASA textures with a cloud layer and atmospheric halo.

A materials catalogue that behaves like the wall: drag a raking light across the coating and the relief comes up, the way a plasterer checks a surface.

Vertro

A desktop engineering suite pulled out of VB6 and Access and rebuilt for the web: nine calculation modules, 63 tables, 3,471 records, one URL.

Also built: computer-vision overlays for live streams, spaced-repetition learning platforms, a Spring Boot backend with 53 endpoints, and a speech-synthesis model. Happy to walk through any of it.
